Delete it in the app
This works the same in the Sherehesha mobile app and at app.sherehesha.com:
- Open Me (Mimi in Swahili), then Settings (Mipangilio).
- Choose Delete account (Futa account).
- Type DELETE (or FUTA in Swahili) to confirm.
Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out on all devices.
If you cannot sign in
Email privacy@sherehesha.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We confirm the request comes from you and delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account, sign in details and profile, including your photo, bio, area and phone numbers.
- All your ads and their photos, which are also removed from our image storage.
- Your comments, ratings, messages, conversations and notifications.
- Your plans, in app payment history, device notification tokens and saved location.
What is kept
- Our payment partner keeps its own records of your payments for as long as the law requires.
- Deleted data may stay in encrypted backups for a limited time before it is overwritten.
- Unused time on paid plans is not refunded when you delete your account.
Deleting only some data
You do not have to delete your whole account to remove information. You can edit your profile, delete individual ads, photos and comments, turn off location and notifications in your device settings, or email us to ask us to delete specific data.
